This webinar will explore the goals of a highly reliable organization and connect a high reliability framework with the Baldrige Excellence Framework.
Suzie Berregaard, Director of Operations VHA Office for Quality and Patient Safety, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Iowa State University, a Juris Doctorate with Honors from Drake University Law School, and a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance from George Washington University. Currently, she is the Director of Operations for the Office of Quality Management at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Suzie is also a licensed lawyer and Nursing Home Administrator, and has certifications in Human Resources, Healthcare Compliance, and Healthcare Quality.

Project leads are encuraged to reflect on the work that they've done throughout the year and to present the immproevements that impact OCIC's mission.
Kaitlin Hixson, MPA, is the Director of Continuous Improvement. She currently holds a Green Belt and is in the process of starting her Black Belt. She began her career at the clinic as a training coordinator for the Quality Department before being promoted to the director role.

Leader2Leader Collaborative
The Partnership for Excellence’s Leader2Leader Collaborative is a year-long professional development program, which is grounded in the Baldrige Excellence Framework and consists of educational sessions, best practice sharing, peer networking & collaboration and leadership growth.
Each cohort begins with a strategy session where participants engage in team building activities, hear lessons from Baldrige recipients, conduct a mock strategic planning session, and establish goals for the year. On three occasions, throughout the year, participants will participate in a day of best practices led by Baldrige/TPE award recipients.
