Becoming involved with The Partnership for Excellence is a great way to get started. The Partnership for Excellence administers the Baldrige Criteria. Essentially, the Baldrige Criteria are a set of questions that form the guidance to manage any organization, no matter its sector or size.

Working Knowledge

The Malcolm T. Baldrige National Quality Award process has long been recognized as an extraordinary means for for-profit, non-profit, and healthcare organizations to improve organizational performance and competitiveness. Learning the Baldrige Criteria helps you measure performance and plan appropriately. Whether you describe the Baldrige Criteria as a blueprint, framework or a map, it offers guidance as to how and where you apply quality tools, such as Six Sigma and Lean.

Most organizations use the Baldrige categories to build up a total performance profile to assess their organization and focus on those areas that require improvement.
